KLIP/KLIM Responder is application specifically designed for infrastructure owners (electricity, water, sewer, telecommunications, gas & oil, and others) to respond to site requests issued by engineering companies, contractors, subcontractors or any other organization defining building sites. The aim is to avoid or minimize damage to existing infrastructure when working in the field. Depending on the site's geographic location in Belgium, KLIP/KLIM Responder provides support for both Kabel en Leiding Informatie Portaal (KLIP) and Federaal Kabels en Leidingen Informatie Meldpunt (KLIM) services support.

Please read following chapters before using the tool for the first time:

• Installation - common installation procedure and installation maintenance tips.
• Licensing - available licensing models based on number and type of users.
• Customization - customizing default tools behavior and related options.
• Create data store - enables creating new feature data store of selected type, based on specified feature schema.
• Unattended mode - provides methods for fully automated, unattended requests processing.
• Processing workflow - detailed requests (PAVs) collecting and processing workflow.

Besides other custom settings, you may also need to create following data structures:

• Data store - pre-populate feature data store with with facilities your organization manages.
• Data folder - root data folder used by keep facilities' sub-folders with project files; not necessarily a local folder (may also reside on LAN).

In case response files are persisted on local server (responder type set to "Local web server"), you might also need following prerequisites:

• Response folder - root folder to store response data files, in case such files are persisted on local server.
• Virtual directory - publicly visible web folder running on Internet Information Services (IIS), accessible from the Internet.

If you are using e-mail responder, you might consider following customizations:

• E-mail templates - customizing default templates for e-mail responses.
