Feature Data

Feature data provide a way to represent real world features within the CAD and GIS environments. A feature is anything you can see on the physical map. Imagine you're inspecting aerial or satellite imagery. Looking down to the image you can see buildings, roads, trees, rivers, and so on. Each one of these things would be a feature when we represent them in a Holixa Infra Suite application. Vector features have feature attributes, which consist of text or numerical information that describe the features.

Infra Suite provides following feature management capabilities:

• Feature schema - defines features, their properties and representation.
• Feature data store - relational database keeping instantiated feature data.
• Querying features - filtering out feature data using feature filter expressions.
• Automating feature tasks - automating activities over feature data.
• Importing features - enables importing spatial features from external data source.
• Exporting features - enables exporting specified spatial features to external data file.
• Selecting features - provides feature-sensitive AutoCAD selection techniques.
