Selects one or more AutoCAD entities based on specified parameters. This is an advanced version of classic Select command, which creates a selection set of entities suitable for further manipulation. Unlike classic AutoCAD selection command, this one is also feature-sensitive, meaning that it is able to distinguish between classified and non-classified features in a drawing.

Once the command is started, you are asked to either manually select entities, or specify a selection keyword:

Select objects or [LAYer/BLock/Object/CLass/SPatial/ALL/Previous/Undo]:

Based on specified keyword, it enables selecting drawing entities by following criteria:

• Layer - selects entities by one or more layers.
• Block - selects entities by block name(s).
• Object - selects entities by entity type (i.e. Point, Circle, Polyline, etc.).
• Class - selects entities by feature class name(s).
• Spatial - selects entities by spatial query (i.e. Intersects, Crosses, etc.).
• All - selects all entities in current drawing.
• Previous - selects entities from previous selection set.
• Undo - undoes selection.

Once the selection is made, it reports total number of selected entities and number of non-classified features found in selection set. For example:
