Features importing capability enables converting spatial data stored in external file to feature data. Once features were imported, they are displayed in current drawing as if they were checked-out from the feature data store. It is also possible to check-in imported features into the data store, making them part of the corporate spatial database. Importing features into the active AutoCAD drawing is being performed by means of few simple wizard-driven steps.

Import Features wizard drives you through the following steps:

  1. Specifying data source file and format
  2. Enabling coordinate system transformation
  3. Transforming imported geometries to features
  4. Filtering out resulting features
  5. Imported spatial features
