Data Store

Feature data store represents a centrally managed, spatially-enabled database. This setting enables changing default data store. Please keep in mind that you must create a common data store beforehand. Feature data store management operations like create, update or delete a data store are provided via Data Store Administrator wizard. Using a feature data store in  Infra Suite is not mandatory - you can establish one only if you need to store and maintain spatially-related data.

Dialog displays properties of default feature data store provider (if any):

• Provider - you can select corresponding data store provider via drop-down list.
• Library description - displays feature data store general provider description.
• Library version - displays feature data store provider version.
• Library path - displays feature data store provider's library path on disk.

Infra Suite supports following types of data stores:

• File-based - data store based on a single file (does not require a server application).
• Server-based - data store based on a relational database engine (commonly requires a database server application).
